Room 528, Thursday Morning

Emma had skipped class yesterday, preferring instead to cocoon herself in a pile of blankets and try to sleep-off her powers hangover. She didn't need to give herself a worse migraine by listening to Professor Dèmon prattle on, no matter how entertaining and well-intentioned he was.

She was feeling a bit better today, however, and was bored with sleeping. She'd ventured out of her room long enough for a shower and to steal a movie from the common room, and was now curled up on her bed again, happily humming along.

Hopefully her furred roommate wouldn't mind her choice of entertainment.

"I hope so. I don't have enough pop tarts to last me more than a few days," Emma pointed out. "We all have to get food somehow."

"We could band up and go on supply runs," Jack mused. "Though if we could do that, it might be better to get off the island all together."

He sighed and flopped backward on the bed. "I don't like feeling so damned useless."

"Can we order up a portal in the lobby or something, and all go back to the Bahamas and work on the mystery there?" Emma sighed, reaching down to play with his hair. "I think I could support that plan."

"You'd think that with all the magical types around here, someone would have thought of that," Jack said wistfully.
