icecoldfrost: (when I grow up (I'll turn the tables))

It was with determination and assurance that Winston and Hazel Frost knocked on the office door that supposedly belonged to the vice-principal.

The fact that Emma had - willingly - told them where they could meet with a school official had Winston suspicious, and, admittedly, intrigued. Emma had never been the most willful of his children, but she was the most unpredictable. Adrienne and Cordelia were...less than thrilled to be dragged along on this part of the trip, but it would strike a greater blow against Emma to see the entire family there, unified against her.

Vice-Principal (who is not your pal) Deadpool
"It's oooopeeeeeen," Deadpool sang cheerfully. Like ya do when dealing with people from Marvel.

Winston Frost
"Mister....Wilson?" Pardon Winston for a moment, Deadpool, if he looks mildly confused by your choice of attire. "My daughter said you were the Vice Principal, and I should come to you about removing her from the school."

Deadpool
"And your daughter is?" He didn't exactly get to read the solict for this issue, okay?

Emma Grace Frost
"He's not just the VP, he also teaches, and his boyfriend is the mayor," Emma supplied cheerfully, entering behind her father and taking a seat without being offered. "Hello. My father seems to forget I'm eighteen, and I don't want to go back to Boston."

Emma could have sent Winston to Zoe, but she had a hunch that this would be far too entertaining to pass up.

Deadpool
"Boyfriend is such a girly term," Deadpool replied. "I prefer 'someone you don't always wanna shoot in the head for being a moron and member of the Summers family'."

A beat.

"You'll learn all about that someday, little, fake step-mom-in-law. Hello, extended family!"

Emma
"If I'm your fake step-MiL, does that mean I can ground the mayor?" Emma asked, smirking. Look, she had told Adrienne that she was one of the sanest people here. Now she got to prove it.

Deadpool
"Ahahahah. Nah, he's only tersely polite with you on a good day," Deadpool replied. "Now, what can I do you for... The Frosts?"

He opened a desk drawer and pulled out a bag of popcorn he might have been saving for such an occasion.

"I never read the origin story. This'll be fun."

Emma
"...you lost me with that one," Emma admitted, casting a glance at Winston. "But the cliff-notes of why we're here is that Winston wants to withdraw me from the school, effective immediately, and take me home."

"I am hoping that you'll tell him where to stuff it, since dropping just before graduation is stupid, and I'm eighteen. He has no say in the situation."

Hazel Frost
"Emma, don't speak about your father that way in front of the help," Hazel murmured, taking a seat. "It isn't seemly."

Clearly, Emma had gotten her disposition from both sides of the family.

Deadpool
"One, I'm the Vice Principal and a well known assassin. Not the help. And two... wow, you are just precious," Deadpool replied. "So, why are we uprooting lil' Emma from school when she's all legal adult-y?"

Winston
Winston was clenching his jaw in anger at this...charade. He'd give Emma credit for thinking on her feet and contacting a faculty member who was clearly willing to go to great lengths to back her up, but this was ridiculous. Assassin? Not likely.

"My daughter is psychologically disturbed, Mr. Wilson," he gritted out. "It's not a matter of what she wants, it is what is best for her."

He reached inside his suit jacket and presented some paperwork. "It's all right there. I have power of attorney over Emma, as a medical professional has deemed her mental incapable of making her own decisions."

Emma
"WHAT?" Excuse Emma, Deadpool. Hopefully she can be forgiven for yelling, all things considered. "I'm not crazy, Daddy! I'm perfectly fine!"

Helpful Deadpool is Helpful
"Crazy ha ha or crazy 'Oh, that's sad'?"

Deadpool, stop being helpful.

Cordelia Frost
"Crazy like she hears voices, and she's not even high," Cordelia offered, being just as helpful. Deliberately. It was worth it, for the way it made Winston's jaw tick in anger. "Totally mental."

Deadpool
"..."

Deadpool looked from Cordelia, to Emma, to Winston, to Cordelia again, back to Emma, back to Winston, to his popcorn, and finally to Emma again. "Is this new? I mean, she's a telepath and all. Oh god, did you catch something from when Nate's mom was here?"

Emma
Emma's eyes widened slightly, and she made the tiniest 'no' motion possible with the hand that was blocked from Winston's view by her chair.

Someone was most definitely not Out to her family.

Hazel
"Catch something from who's mother?" Hazel interrupted politely. "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I'm not following."

Deadpool
"Maybe because you're just too busy being adorably Valley of the Dolls over there," Deadpool replied easily. "But, I may not be bald or in a wheelchair and more open about my less than friendly motives, but... no. Now shoo. Get outta my school before I tell the mayor ya'll are here and he tells you about the horrific future we have in store that involves oh god the horror of Apocalypse! Oh god! It's the end of days! That Warren kid is blue! No one likes that story-arc! It's worse than Onslaught!"

He flailed his hands about to illustrate the point.

Winston
"We would appreciate if you took this a bit more seriously, Mr. Wilson," Winston bit out. "I am more than happy to go to the school board if I have to, and I'm sure they'd love to hear how you treat the parents of your students."

Emma
"Before you kick them out, I'll need copies of those," Emma said, pointing at the paperwork. "I'm sure that my lawyer will find them fascinating."

Dead silence fell over the Frosts - Cordelia even looking a little impressed, Adrienne fuming - and Emma smiled brightly. "We wouldn't want there to be a suspicion of impropriety, now would we?"

She was going into the nearest ladies' room after this to call 411 and get the number for Jack's Miss Cabot. Emma appreciated Deadpool's help, and she'd probably send him a cookie basket, but she was going to need a lawyer.

Deadpool
"Pff, the school board hired me. I dunno what they're gonna say about all that jazz," Deadpool replied helpfully. "Now. I'll give ya one last warning because I'm supposed to be all reformed and crap. Shoo. Before I disappoint Nate and kill ya for exacerbating my daddy issues."

Emma Frost, Flawless Victory.
"Please, disappoint Mr. Summers," Emma murmured under her breath. "I won't tell."

But that wouldn't actually help the situation. "Come on, Mother. I'll introduce you to the office moose," she offered, getting up to try and urge Hazel to come along with her. "You can all meet the admin staff while they copy those papers for us, so everyone can have a set."

Yes, she was going to let the crazies in the office at her family. Maybe that would scare them off and leave her in peace.
