Solstice Party at 33 Apocalypse Avene, Weds Evening.

The sun had barely begun to set when the house on Apocalypse Avenue lit-up like a small supernova. Each of the zombie lawn gnomes each had their own little candle in a cup, and the walk up to the house was strewn with fairy lights between the trees.

In the backyard, you would find wine, mead, fresh fruit, sparklers, and pretty much anything else required for your midsummer solstice party. There was more food in the kitchen, of course, and rather than the traditional bonfire, the residents had rigged their own burning sun in the center of the backyard.

Merry meet and welcome on the longest day!

"I haven't decided," Karla said with a cheerful grin. "I brought my own wine, since Emma's invitation said I wouldn't be able to drink otherwise. So it basically depends on whether or not I feel like catching a portal home. Is there room for me?"

"Always," Jack said firmly. "We should have a spare room, and even if we don't, I have a feeling I might end up in Emma's instead of mine tonight."

Karla made a face. "Being held captive by the boyos back at the Hall, I think," she said, trying not to sound as huffy as she felt about that. "...Or something. Either way, I am quite escortless, much to Emma's displeasure."
