Once again, I shall miss newbie day, for I shall be in the clutches of my local convention, lecturing on copyright, young adult literature, and possibly heckling Klingons.

Once again, I am taking bets on how long I can hold out before beating the obsessive Twilight fans.

Wish me luck, and I should be around-ish in the late evenings and back completely on Sunday afternoon, assuming I'm not abducted by other librarians. They're SCARY.

This goes for icecoldfrost, gorka_wolf, atreideslioness, and death_of_hope, of course. The girls are around, just quiet, in case I do find internet at the hotel and steal someone's netbook.

Better idea: ask a Twilight fan loudly who she ships and why. Watch the Bella/Edward and Bella/Jacob crazed fanatics tear one another to shreds. Munch popcorn.
