A Hotel, London, Early Sunday Evening

The nice part about being in the 'future' was that Emma could stay overnight, sleep in tomorrow, and still catch a portal back to Fandom in time for her class without getting sleep-deprived. Timezones were wonderful things.

"I don't think I can walk another inch," she announced, opening the door and walking into the room to fall dramatically on her bed. "I think you dragged me to every corner of London and then some, Jack."

"No, just a little damp," she assured him, pouring the overflowing bottle until it stopped fizzling. "I'll need to wash my face and change my top; champagne is tasty, but I don't want to reek of it all night while it dries."

"I can't blame you," Jack said. "It's a nice scent, but not one i want clinging to me either."

Emma leaned over the table to swipe a champagne-damp finger down his cheek. "Too late, darling. Now you're forever tainted as well."

"Shocking, Miss Frost," Jack drawled, and dampened one of his own fingers in syrup before reaching to touch Emma on the tip of the nose. "But it makes me curious -- how does maple syrup go with champagne?"

"Wouldn't you like to find out?" Emma asked, dipping her fingers in the whipped cream on top of her waffle and then flicking it at him. "I'm sure I'm quite gourmet."

"You're always gourmet," Jack argued, failing to dodge the whipped cream.

He'd make it up by tossing a slice of banana at her head, trying to get it to lodge in her hair.

She gave an indignant screech and quickly picked up a grape and flung it at his forehead. "Stop throwing food at me!"

"I didn't start it!" Jack argued, through choking laughter. "We should stop before we're both bathed in orange juice."

Which didn't stop him from throwing a strawberry.

Strawberries were for EATING, not throwing, and Emma did her fumbling best to catch it, bite off the tasty part, and throw the leafy topper back at him. "You are a horrible fibber. I didn't throw anything at you, Mr. Priest."

"But you touched me with the champagne," Jack laughed. "And you've always been a troublemaker, admit it."

[icecoldfrost]

"I'm the troublemaker?" That was going to earn another grape at his face. "That's the pot calling the kettle black!"

"Ow!" Jack rubbed his eyebrow. "Did you have to throw that at my eye?"

[icecoldfrost]

"I was aiming for your nose," Emma admitted. "You must have moved slightly."

[bitten_notshy]

"I did not!" Jack protested. "You have bad aim. And what do you have against my nose?"

... he was not actually upset.

[icecoldfrost]

"It's in the middle of your face, and easy to aim at," she replied. "I have nothing against it, other than your smirk is right below."

"Now I know you're not implying you aren't fond of my lips, Miss Frost," Jack argued. "It isn't nice to lie."
