Contrary to Jack's pessimism and all evidence to the contrary, the world hadn't ended. Emma considered this one a win in her book.

They'd grabbed their items from the base camp - including the condoms they'd stolen from Kwik Stop - giggling slightly maniacally the entire time before heading back to Ronan's place. From there, it should have been simple enough to go to their separate rooms and call around to make sure people were okay and everything was normal.

Except that Emma made a split-second decision. She swapped back to her diamond form, hauled Jack up over her shoulder, and marched up the stairs to her (thankfully!) shielded room.

Look, some people celebrate with dancing in the kitchen. They were young, alive, and over-saturated on caffeine and adrenaline. Emma could think of a few ways to celebrate.

Emma batted her lashes at him angelically. "No?" she asked, which was somewhat undercut by the fact her hands - her very good hands - were very much exploring down his pants at the moment. "Oh. Oops."

She'd go back to ridding the world of his pants in a moment. Right now, she wanted to drive him absolutely mad.

"No," Jack echoed, but faintly. His hips hitched forward, trying to encourage her to keep at what she was doing, while he slid one hand into her trousers.

Turnabout was fair play, and all.

"Not fair," she whined, although that didn't stop her cheeks from flushing, nor did she move away. "Cheat - oh."

She somehow managed to wriggle closer without squishing their hands, and shifted so she could nuzzle his neck, occasionally giving in to the temptation to take a little nip even as her hands did their best to tease rather than satisfy.

"You love when I cheat this way," Jack said, smug and breathless and trying his best to arouse her as thoroughly as she'd managed it for him.

Emma was just going to bite him a bit harder for that, but didn't bother to hide just how worked up she was getting. The next time his hands did something she especially liked, she let her eyes fall shut and Emma tipped her head back and groaned. Loudly.

Someone had decided she didn't care who heard them; she rather break the bed with Jack than be quiet. "You're a horrible horrible boy."

It was fond. Really. And very breathless.

"Why do we still have any clothes on?" Jack asked, grinning at the complimentary insult as he set a land speed record in divesting himself of the tangle of his trousers and underthings.

His skin glowed red from her bite. He liked that.

Wait, why was he using words? Where did his hands go? Emma had to blink through her haze for a moment before growling and fumbling with her own buttons. "Because we got distracted and you haven't started fucking me into next week, yet," she retorted, pouting lusciously. "I think you should get on that."

Jack took considerably less than a second to sort through his haze, consider all possible responses, land on the most appropriate one .. and start trying to do exactly what he'd been asked to do.

Foreplay was a lovely and wonderful thing, but sometimes you had to give a lady what she wanted.

Emma shrieked loudly with delight as she was tackled on to the bed, which very quickly changed to different sorts of delighted sounds.

They could apologize to the other residents of the house tomorrow. Tonight, they were going to celebrating saving the goddamn multiverse.
