Room 528, Thursday Morning.

Emma loved Thursdays, mostly because she never had any classes. It was her own little weekend mid-week, where she could get anything she wanted done.

For some reason, though, she just kept dozing off. She hadn't gotten much sleep lately, true, but that didn't explain the odd dreams she'd been having lately; snippets of conversations with people she didn't recognize, none of which made any sense.

She was inclined to brush it off, blame it on everything that had happened on Monday. Adrenaline from the sleepover party and Alex combined with... whatever the fuck that was, and it had her brain on overdrive. That was all. She just needed a distraction, something to focus on, and her special little brain would calm down and heal up by itself.

And when Emma wanted a distraction, she knew just who to bother. For now, however, she was going to stay curled up in her blanket with the business section. Work came before play.

And then very much found herself kissing Jack. Again.

He meant it to be a thank you sort of kiss, but somehow he lingered.

He wasn't the only one lingering.

Emma didn't pull away. There were so many reasons that this was a horrible idea, but she couldn't bring herself to care. His lips were very distracting, after all.

One hand drifted over to rest on his hip as she kissed him back slowly, the sensation of his warm skin under her fingers making her feel slightly giddy.

Oh indeed.

Oh, such a very bad idea. Shouldn't do this. Shouldn't let himself sink into this, or pull her closer, or run his hand down the outside of her shirt like it had the right to be there.

... yet he wasn't stopping.

She shouldn't be leaning into his touch, or letting her lips get more aggressive, or allowing her hands to roam over his skin, but Emma did it anyway.

She wasn't very good at resisting temptation, and Emma melted against him with a pleased sound, responding to his touch even as she carefully shored up her mental walls. There would be no telepathic bleed this time, thank you very much.

Jack tried to guide her to the bed without breaking the kiss or knocking over dinner. It was a challenge, but he could manage.

His sudden hunger for her was like a wave, crashing over him; he had to wim in it or he'd drown.

It took her a moment to realize what he was doing, and Emma silently laughed against his lips even as she kissed him harder, carefully making her way around their picnic and then reaching up to pull him down on to the bed with her.

They could pretend this never happened later. Right now, she just needed to feel him against her.
