Room 528 -- Wednesday Morning

It was lucky for Emma that ermines likes burrowing into things, such as blankets. Because it meant when she woke up person-shaped (and without clothes) on Wednesday morning, she wasn't freezing or in a hideously embarrassing situation. Well, no more embarrassing than being a rather cuddly ermine had been in the first place.

Blanket firmly wrapped around herself, Emma hopped out of bed and headed over to her dresser to pick out some clothes and find her shampoo. After a week of being small and furry, a hot shower and something to wear that wasn't a blue ribbon sounded fantastic.

[OOC: For the roomie, should she wish, and open to other visitors once Emma is happily clothed.]

"I'll have you know that I managed to efficiently attack a number of hands," Emma replied haughtily, turning up her nose at Pounce. "I would have found a way to manage."

She would. Even if she had to use the ribbon Beka had dressed her up in for the dance.

"It's good to be back on two feet, and to have my powers back."

Pounce's miaow managed to sound rather amused.

"It'd have been easy if you'd been able to still speak to people," Beka agreed, extracting her feet from underneath her cat so she could get up. "You didn't like being a weasel then?"

"It could have been worse," Emma admitted. "At least everyone found me adorable. If I'd turned into a bug or something else easily squashed."

"Pounce would not have let me squash you," Beka assured her.

"That is because Pounce is a cat of uncommonly good sense," Emma pointed out. "Unless I rode around on his back the entire time, the other students are not nearly as astute, and I might be the victim of an unfortunate accident."

"Luckily that was not the case, and instead, I was adorable. Of course."

I am glad someone here recognises my good sense, Pounce remarked, sounding almost regal.

"You looked very pretty with a blue ribbon," Beka said. Mayhap she was teasing, but she managed to keep her face straight as she said it.

"Ah yes, I seem to remember thanking you for your efforts on my behalf," Emma replied cheerfully. With biting, even, but Emma tended to do that even when person-shaped.

"It seemed a shame to not dress you up somehow," Beka smiled at her. "I know you enjoy it."

"Well, it wasn't like I had to worry about another girl wearing my dress," Emma laughed. "But you didn't let me have nearly enough punch."

"They put alcohol in it," Beka protested. "You could smell it from afar. I'd not have you poison yourself!"

"Alcohol is not poisonous to ermines!" Emma objected.

...not that she actually knew, but she wouldn't have wanted any if it was, right?

"How'd you know?" Beka questioned. "You were much smaller. I'd not have you be crook when you were my responsibility."
