Room 528 -- Wednesday Morning

It was lucky for Emma that ermines likes burrowing into things, such as blankets. Because it meant when she woke up person-shaped (and without clothes) on Wednesday morning, she wasn't freezing or in a hideously embarrassing situation. Well, no more embarrassing than being a rather cuddly ermine had been in the first place.

Blanket firmly wrapped around herself, Emma hopped out of bed and headed over to her dresser to pick out some clothes and find her shampoo. After a week of being small and furry, a hot shower and something to wear that wasn't a blue ribbon sounded fantastic.

[OOC: For the roomie, should she wish, and open to other visitors once Emma is happily clothed.]

"I like it," Karla said, with a small smile that even charity could only describe as 'doofy.' "Not saying you're wrong, mind," she added, "it's just the males back home could give lessons in being brash and ballsy. And under that ego is kindness and understanding, so..." she shrugged. "I like it."

Mayhap if he thought less of himself, he'd not been getting as far in the Court of the Rogue. Beka nodded simply. "He's not a bad cove."

"Not in the least," Karla said firmly, toying a bit with the strand of beads around her wrist.

Karla knew 'bad coves.' George at his worst might be about equal to them at their best, but Karla wasn't going to put money on it.

"Jonas is a good male, too," she said. "Though I hope he didn't end up with a bellyache after the carnival. We decided to try a bit of everything that we'd never had before." She chuckled a bit. "It sounded like a good idea when we came up with it."

Beka smiled. "And I had him eat apple fritters too. It seemed like you both survived."

"I eat an awful lot," Karla admitted. "And can whip up a soothing tonic if I need one. But I'm glad to hear he got through unscathed."

The wheels in Karla's head were turning. She and Jonas were friends. She and Beka were at least moderately friendly. George and Beka were friends and well as relatives, though he didn't seem to know Jonas well. Hmmm...

"We should do something. Together. The four of us," she said thoughtfully. "Like go to dinner or the game place in town. Like, as a group. You know?"

Beka looked surprised. That sounded very much like somewhat couples did and... "I'd not mind, but I'd have to ask Jonas. I don't know how he'd feel about it."

"I'd definitely have to ask George, too," Karla said, quickly coming to a similar conclusion. It did sound awfully date-like and she still wasn't sure where they stood with that. "It was just an idea."

"It isn't a bad one," Beka said. "I like going out with friends."

Karla nodded. That was how she'd frame it. Going out with friends. No hint of being pushy or expectant there. "Just a fun evening out with friends," she agreed. "We'll, hopefully fun."

She'd almost suggested going to New York when she remembered that'd Jonas might be uncomfortable with it. "It would, if they both agree to it," she agreed. And if it'd not be completely awkward.

Awkwardness was almost a given at this point, but Karla just gave Beka her best unsure-but-game smile. "I'll ask George when I see him tomorrow at the library."

Beka nodded. "I'll ask Jonas. Sometimes he drops by at the gym while I'm working."
