Room 528, Thursday Morning.
Jul. 30th, 2009 07:58 amEmma loved Thursdays, mostly because she never had any classes. It was her own little weekend mid-week, where she could get anything she wanted done.
For some reason, though, she just kept dozing off. She hadn't gotten much sleep lately, true, but that didn't explain the odd dreams she'd been having lately; snippets of conversations with people she didn't recognize, none of which made any sense.
She was inclined to brush it off, blame it on everything that had happened on Monday. Adrenaline from the sleepover party and Alex combined with... whatever the fuck that was, and it had her brain on overdrive. That was all. She just needed a distraction, something to focus on, and her special little brain would calm down and heal up by itself.
And when Emma wanted a distraction, she knew just who to bother. For now, however, she was going to stay curled up in her blanket with the business section. Work came before play.

Date: 2009-07-30 07:27 pm (UTC)As with most things when it came to Jack, Emma tended to make it up as she went along.
"I do not know anything," she said mock-primly, eyes dancing as she reached for a
omgmoddedsoda. "Someone asked me nicely to stay out of his head, and so I have."no subject
Date: 2009-07-30 07:47 pm (UTC)"You're welcome to take a look, if you want," he said. "As long as you're onyl interested in what I think of you. Don't go rummaging about."
"But I did like the kissing, until the end."

Date: 2009-07-30 08:08 pm (UTC)"I do not rummage like a housewife at a yard sale," Emma pouted, flicking a chip at him. Her room, she could start a food fight if she wanted. "Don't be vulgar. I'm an artist, thank you."
"Besides, didn't they establish that we were all out of our brains on drugs or pollen or something that week? That was so not my fault, and I have not had any problems since, thank you very much."
[Done with edits, I swear.]

Date: 2009-07-30 10:47 pm (UTC)"Good to hear," he said politely.
Few people could flummox him. Emma managed it.
"That means I should kiss you again," he announced. "Not necessarily now, but sometime when there are no drugs and no pollen."

Date: 2009-07-30 11:47 pm (UTC)Emma smiled at him as she reached for one of the tacos, unwrapping the foil neatly. "I suppose I'll consider it," she mused, "Since you were so kind as to bring me dinner. Honestly, if you hadn't, I probably wouldn't have remembered to eat." Someone had a horrible sense of time, and was used to ignoring the demands of her stomach.

Date: 2009-07-31 12:45 am (UTC)Still, there was a pleased blush on her cheeks, which she proceeded to try and hide by digging into her food. "Although any day where I meet new people is a good day. I'm still tempted to take the brandy up with me next time, and see how fast it sends out the siren song to the rest of the smokers. Maybe quadruple my social circle."
